“Bells of Inverary”
17th February, 1930
Sir,–I beg to enclose for your piper readers the Pat Mor MacCrimmon vocables, also the words [Luke II., 10-11] to the theme of my recent tune, “The Bells of Inverary,” printed for me by Peter Henderson Ltd., Glasgow. This cancels some vocables sent you of date 26th August 1922, about the time of the arrival of the new Bells; hence the title name. The note E (called E) following A and F becomes V for the sake of euphony, a MacCrimmon rule in old and new styles of their system.
