The Farquhar MacRae Pipe Trophy

Sir,–With reference to letters which have been appearing in the “Oban Times” regarding piobaireachd playing by young players, I would feel much obliged if any of your contributors could inform me, through your valuable paper, if the Farquhar MacRae Trophy, which has been competed for during the past five years, has yet been completed, and if so, the names of the winners. This trophy was raised by public subscription by followers of the piobmhor in Glasgow and elsewhere. Instituted as a Memorial to the late Pipe-Major Farquhar MacRae, the trophy, I understand, has engraved on it a representation of Eilean Donan Castle. –I am, etc.,
